Hinckley Hill rises above a network of waterways in this remote section of Somerset County, Maine, as it was surveyed in the late 1980s. The landscape is defined by the West Exeter Logging System (WELS) townships, including T 7 R 19 Wels and the evocatively named Big Six township. Drainage across the terrain flows through numerous named watercourses such as Abacotnetic Stream and Bradley Brook.
