Deeply incised gulches and coastal cliffs characterize this landscape on the northern coast of the Island of Hawai‘i. Near the northwestern corner, the settlement patterns of the Kohala district are evident around Niuli‘i Cem and the Kohala Hongwanji Mission Cem. These sites, along with Saint Pauls Episcopal Cem, serve as important landmarks for genealogical research in this region.
