Hotason Vo and the neighboring settlement of Charco sit at the northern edge of this arid landscape in Pima County, Arizona. The terrain is defined by broad desert expanses and significant seasonal drainage systems, most notably Sikort Chuapo Wash and Gunsight Wash, which intersect the valleys. To the east, the Quijotoa Valley stretches toward the small settlement of Kavolik, while the central elevations are anchored by Ninemile Peak. The transportation network relies on a system of regional routes, including Indian Rte 7, Indian Rte 34, and Indian Rte 1, which connect these remote communities. In the southwest, the Gunsight Hills rise above Gunsight Valley, providing a prominent landmark in an area otherwise characterized by low-lying washes and the occasional water feature like Chagit Vo.
