Swanberg Mountain and Teakettle Mountain overlook a complex fluvial landscape defined by the convergence of the North Fork, Middle Fork, and the main stem of the Flathead River. This 2011 survey documents the dense concentration of seasonal and residential development along the river corridors, particularly around Hungry Horse and Martin City. The geography is shaped by water and transportation, with numerous small lakes like Lake Five and Halfmoon Lake dotting the eastern side of the quadrangle.
