Douglas Lake and the northern shores of Burt Lake dominate this northern Michigan landscape, where the border between Emmet Co and Cheboygan Co cuts through a dense network of glacial lakes and seasonal wetlands. The small settlement of Indianville sits near the southwestern edge of Burt Lake, while Ingleside and Weadock occupy the northern reaches of the quadrangle.
