Johannson Coulee and a series of deep drainage channels carve through this expansive stretch of northern Montana in Toole County. This landscape is defined by its dramatic topographic relief, where the namesake Johannson Coulee is joined by the winding paths of Ninemile Coulee, Fifteenmile Coulee, and Miners Coulee. These features represent the critical watershed patterns of the high plains, eventually feeding into Willow Cr along the eastern edge of the survey.
