Lake Kickapoo dominates the southern landscape of this Archer County region, its irregular shoreline reaching north through several prominent fingers and inlets. Formed by the damming of the N Fork Little Wichita River, the reservoir contains distinct landmarks including Pancake Island, Council Island, and the elongated Long Island. The surrounding terrain is defined by a series of drainages such as Holliday Cr, Panther Cr, and Plum Cr, which feed the river system from the north and west.
