The Delaware River serves as the central artery for this region during the mid-1990s, physically separating the riverfront communities of Lambertville and New Hope. On the New Jersey bank, the Delaware and Raritan Canal State Canal parallels the river, passing the Mercer County Workhouse and entering the grounds of Washington Crossing State Park. The Pennsylvania side is characterized by the prominent ridges of Solebury Mountain and Jericho Mountain, where smaller hamlets like Solebury, Buckmanville, and Wrightstown are situated among the creek valleys.

Historical landmarks and community foundations are well-preserved in this layout, including St Martins Ch and several rural school sites such as Fairfield Sch and Good Intent Sch. Preservation of the landscape is evident through extensive parklands, from Howell Farm County Park to the Washington Crossing Historic Park, which marks the site of the famous Revolutionary War crossing. The survey also traces the path of a major Pipeline cutting across the lower portion of the quadrangle near Newton.
