Leoti serves as the central hub of this High Plains landscape, where the grid of the city streets meets the broad agricultural expanse of Wichita County. The town site is anchored by the Wichita County Courthouse, reflecting its role as the local seat of government. To the south, the Leoti Cem and Mark Hoard Memorial Airport mark the transition from residential blocks to the open sections of the surrounding prairie.

Drainage across the region is defined by the winding course of White Woman Cr and the seasonal path of Rocky Draw. These natural features disrupt the rigid section lines and county roads, such as Co RD 15 and Co RD Q, that divide the land into a geometric patchwork. To the east, the small settlement of Coronado stands along the highway, illustrating the characteristic spacing of communities along the western Kansas plains.
