2022 Map of Liberty

USGS Topo · Published 2022

About this map

The settlement of Liberty sits at the foot of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, marking a transition between the high peaks of the Rio Grande National Forest and the expansive dune fields to the south. This area is defined by the intersection of three major protected landscapes: the forest, the Great Sand Dunes National Preserve, and the Great Sand Dunes National Park. To the north, the small community of Duncan is situated near Pole Creek, while numerous drainage features like Cleveland Gulch and Slide Rock Canyon descend from the high ridges.
