Rush Cr and its tributary S Rush Cr carve through this high plains landscape in Lincoln County, defining the drainage patterns south of Highway 94. The area is characterized by ephemeral watercourses and subtle depressions, most notably Evilsizer Lake in the southeastern portion of the quadrangle. This 2019 survey reflects a rural environment where the Public Land Survey System grid remains the primary organizing force, evidenced by the numerous section lines and township boundaries such as t14s r54w. Human presence is primarily indicated by a network of county roads, including CO Hwy 109 and Co RD 33, which facilitate access across the open terrain. Significant topographic features like McKenzie Draw and Long Br provide the only significant relief in this expansive section of the Colorado plains.
