Schoodic Lake dominates the northern landscape of this region, its shoreline marked by seasonal and established settlements like Knights Landing and Lake View. The terrain is defined by a series of prominent rises including Acorn Hill, Searles Hill, and Stickney Hill, which overlook a complex network of waterways such as Sucker Brook and Alder Brook. To the south, the village of Milo sits at a critical hydrologic junction where the Sebec River and its Sebec River Reservoir meet the Pleasant River, which eventually joins the Piscataquis River.
