The international border between the Canada United States of America defines the northern landscape of this Vermont and New Hampshire boundary region. To the south, the settlements of Beecher Falls, Canaan, and Stewartstown cluster near the junction of major travel corridors, including US Rte 3 and the Upper Coos Recreational Rail Trl. The terrain is marked by the presence of Harriman Hill and several local burial sites, notably the Alice Hunt Cem and Wallace Pond Cem.
