Creston occupies the southeastern corner of this high-desert landscape in Malheur County, where water management defines the human footprint. The arid terrain is marked by a complex network of reservoirs and irrigation infrastructure, including the large Easterday Reservoir and the Easterday Ditch. The Malheur River cuts through the northwest, joined by drainages like Slaughter Gulch and Street Canyon, while Granite Creek flows through the southern half.
