Mount Carrigain dominates this interior portion of the White Mountain National Forest, where the high ridges of Signal Ridge and Vose Spur overlook the deep valley of the Sawyer River. The map provides a detailed view of the complex trail and drainage networks that define this part of New Hampshire, including the Hancock Notch Trail and the Sawyer Pond Trail. To the north, Nancy Pond and the Nancy Cascades mark the high elevation drainages near the border of Grafton and Carroll counties.
