2000 Map of Mount Richthofen

USGS Topo · Published 2004

About this map

Never Summer Mountains dominate this high-altitude landscape, where the Continental Divide winds between the borders of Jackson and Grand counties. The terrain is a convergence of several protected areas, including the Routt National Forest, Arapaho National Forest, and the northern reaches of Rocky Mountain National Park. High alpine lakes like Lake Agnes and the Michigan Lakes feed the headwaters of the Michigan River and its South Fork, while the Illinois River begins its course in the southwest.
