Mt Trumbull and the surrounding Uinkaret Mountains anchor this high-desert landscape in Mohave County. This 2018 survey reveals a terrain defined by volcanic features and isolated valleys, where water management is critical for ranching and survival. Numerous tanks and springs, such as Crosby Tank, Sawmill Tank, and Coyote Spring, are strategically situated across the landscape. The geography is marked by distinct depressions and basins, including Potato Valley, Lake Valley, and Sink Valley. Human presence is mapped through a sparse network of unpaved roads like Co RD 5 and Craig Ranch Rd, which connect these remote resources. To the southwest, the Sawmill Mountains rise as another prominent range, while Craigs Knoll provides a distinctive landmark in the north. The drainage of Langs Run cuts through the western portion of the quadrangle, leading toward Crosby Reservoir.
