The San Juan River carves through the heart of this high-desert landscape, feeding into the northern reaches of Lake Powell. Much of the territory falls within the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, where the rising reservoir waters fill prominent inlets like Zahn Bay. The topography is dominated by massive elevated formations and deep drainage systems, including the namesake No Mans Mesa and the wide expanse of Piute Mesa to the south.

Erosional features define the map's character, notably where Nokai Creek winds through the sheer walls of Nokai Canyon. To the east, Copper Canyon and Monitor Mesa mark the transition toward even more vertical terrain. A solitary designated route, Co RD 434, provides the only significant vehicular access into the southern mesas, emphasizing the isolation of these plateaus from the surrounding river corridors.
