The Great Colorado Valley occupies a vast expanse of this La Paz County landscape, defined by a complex network of ephemeral drainage systems. These arid watercourses, including Weaver Wash, Trigo Wash, and Petes Wash, slice through the basin floor between significant mountain ranges. To the northeast, the Dome Rock Mountains rise sharply, while the southern reaches of the map are dominated by the Trigo Mountains and the distinct summits of North Trigo Peaks and South Trigo Peaks.
