1996 Map of O'Neill Hills

USGS Topo · Published 2000

About this map

Barry M Goldwater Air Force Range and the Cabeza Prieta National Wildlife Refuge dominate this arid landscape along the international border. The survey documents a remote desert corridor where the O'Neill Hills and Davidson Hills rise between the Mohawk Valley and the Dulce Mountains. This is a terrain of historical extraction and survival, marked by the Papago Mine and Prospect Rasmussen Mine, alongside numerous adits and mine shafts that trace the mineral search in the Papago Mountain area.
