2024 Map of Oxbrook Lakes

USGS Topo · Published 2024

About this map

The glacial hydrology of Washington County is the defining characteristic of this landscape, dominated by the expansive West Musquash Lake and the connected chain of Upper Oxbrook Lake and Lower Oxbrook Lake. These water bodies are linked by The Thorofare and drained by Oxbrook Stream, creating a complex network of internal drainage typical of eastern Maine. The terrain rises sharply from the lake shores into a series of prominent peaks, including Musquash Mtn, Bear Mtn, and the Pineo Mountains to the south.
