About this map

The High Plains of southeastern Colorado reveal a landscape defined by intermittent watercourses and a strict grid of section roads in this contemporary survey. The boundary between Prowers Co and Baca Co cuts horizontally across the lower third of the quadrangle, where Little Bear Creek and its tributary Little Bear Cr meander through subtle topographic depressions. To the north, the terrain is shaped by the winding paths of Two Butte Creek, North Butte Creek, and N Butte Cr, which offer the primary relief in an otherwise expansive agricultural and grazing region.
