The Delaware River and Neversink River converge at Carpenters Point, a tri-state junction where New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania meet. This point is overlooked by Tristates and the neighboring settlement of Matamoras. The landscape is dominated by the steep rise of Kittatinny Mtn, where High Point stands as a prominent landmark. Multiple historic burying grounds serve these communities, including Pine Grove Cem, Laurel Grove Cem, and Saint Marys Cem, which are situated near the riverside roads and rail lines.
