Kootenai National Forest dominates this section of the Purcell Mountains in northwest Montana, where a network of steep peaks and deep drainages define the landscape. The prominent Pulpit Mtn and its long Pulpit Ridge anchor the southern portion of the quadrangle, overlooking several creek systems including Lynx Cr and O'Brien Cr. To the north, the terrain rises toward Gunsight Mtn and Feeder Mtn, where high-altitude features like Wee Lake are tucked into the mountain folds. The drainage patterns, such as Studebaker Draw and the various forks of O'Brien Cr, dictate the path of access routes like Natl Forest Develop Road 752 Rd. These forestry roads provide the primary corridors through the high timber, following natural contours established by the rugged topography of Lincoln County.
