Reamsville and Thornburg anchor this rural landscape in Smith County, defined by a grid of agricultural section lines and a complex network of northern Kansas drainage basins. The area is dissected by numerous watercourses, including Iowa Cr, Bull Cr, and Walnut Cr, which flow through the undulating plains. Genealogical value is found at two established burial sites: Pleasant Hill Cem near the western boundary and Eminence Cem further east towards the settlement of Thornburg.
