The Wassuk Range dominates this landscape of the Great Basin, where steep eastern slopes drop sharply toward the northwestern shore of Walker Lake. This high-desert terrain is defined by dramatic elevation changes, centered on the prominent summit of Bald Mtn. To the north, the Walker River winds through the Walker Valley, its course supported by water management features such as Lateral Two-A.
