Monument Valley straddles the high-desert border of Arizona and Utah, a region defined by dramatic vertical relief and geological formations. This 2014 survey documents the complex landscape of the Navajo Nation where Rooster Rock and Meridian Butte stand as isolated sentinels. The eastern portion of the sheet is dominated by the massive uplift of Comb Ridge, while the northern reach is carved by Gypsum Creek and its tributaries.
