Rough Rock occupies the western portion of this Arizona landscape, characterized by a complex network of mesas and distinctive desert landforms. To the south, the terrain rises toward Yale Point and Yellow Point, where the drainage of Trading Post Wash carves through the earth. The area is defined by massive formations such as White Top Mesa and Carson Mesa, which dominate the central and eastern sections.
