Roughlock Hill and the surrounding high plains of Natrona Co are defined by a complex network of seasonal drainages and prominent geological formations. This 2015 survey reveals a landscape carved by Buffalo Creek and its many tributaries, including Little Willow Creek and Lost Creek. The topography is marked by several significant escarpments and elevations, such as the Gray Wall and Red Wall, which transition into distinct named landforms like The Island Butte and Cow Spring Butte.
