Round Mtn anchors a landscape of the North Maine Woods, where the borders of Aroostook and Piscataquis counties meet. This mid-1980s survey documents a timber-driven geography of township lines and unpaved access roads, including portions of T 11 R 9 Wels, T 11 R 8 Wels, and T 10 R 9 Wels. The terrain is defined by a series of prominent peaks, from Peaked Mtn and Middle Mtn to the southern elevations of Center Mtn and Spectacle Mtn.
