Allagash River waters dominate this northern Maine landscape, flowing through a territory defined by timber management and remote waterways. The river widens significantly into Round Pond, a prominent feature in the lower right of the quadrangle. Access to this wilderness is maintained through a network of logging roads including Maibec Rd, Michaud Farm Rd, and Blanchette Rd, which cut through the dense drainage basins of numerous tributaries.
