Round Pond and the Allagash River dominate this wilderness landscape in northern Aroostook County. This mid-1980s survey captures the protected Allagash Wilderness State Waterway as it winds through undeveloped township lands including T 13 R 12 W E L S and T 14 R 12 W E L S. The river's path is marked by a series of rapids and widenings, most notably the Musquacook Deadwater where it meets Musquacook Brook beneath the shadow of Musquacook Mountain.
