The Wasatch National Forest dominates the eastern elevation of this map, where the peaks of the Wasatch Range tower over the Salt Lake Valley. This high-contrast terrain transitions from the steep grades of Ensign Peak and Meridian Peak down into the dense urban infrastructure of Salt Lake City and the northern residential corridors of North Salt Lake, Woods Cross, and Bountiful. The central valley floor is defined by a complex network of industrial and agricultural water management, including the Jordan River, the Salt Lake City Sewage Canal, and the Surplus Canal, which manage the drainage toward the northwest.
