2021 Map of Second Connecticut Lake

USGS Topo · Published 2021

About this map

The Connecticut River begins its long journey southward from a series of high-elevation basins near the Canadian border, including Fourth Connecticut Lake, Third Connecticut Lake, and the expansive Second Connecticut Lake. This northernmost reach of Coos County is characterized by a complex network of wetlands and feeder streams, such as Scott Bog, East Inlet Flowage, and Coon Brook Bog. The terrain is punctuated by significant rises like Salmon Mtn and Deer Mtn, while the small settlement of Idlewilde sits along the southwestern shore of the second lake.
