Sells and the neighboring settlement of Gu Oidak occupy this Sonoran Desert landscape, where the seasonal drainage network defines the movement of water and travel. The area is dominated by the Gu Oidak Valley and Sells Valley, with prominent elevations such as Bird Nest Hill, Pan Nepodk, and Etoi Ki rising above the basin floor. This 2014 survey documents the modern road infrastructure through the Tohono O'odham Nation, centered on the W Ajo-Tucson Hwy and Az 86.
