About this map

The Missisquoi River carves a winding path through this northern Vermont landscape, defining the character of the settlements from Sheldon Springs to North Sheldon. The 1980s terrain is marked by a series of prominent glacial hills, including Rice Hill and Bridgeman Hill, which separate the river valley from the eastern waters of Lake Carmi. Near the northern border, Morses Line sits just south of the international boundary between the United States and Canada, where the pastoral lands of Franklin and Highgate meet the Quebec-Vermont line.
