Silver City remains the focal point of this Owyhee County terrain, positioned along the banks of Jordan Creek beneath the high peaks of the Silver City Range. The settlement's complex history is reflected in its numerous burial grounds, including the Pioneer Cem, the Silver City Citizens Cem, and the Masons International Order of the Odd Fellows Cem. These sites, along with nearby Fairview Cem, suggest the density of the population that once worked the surrounding gulches and ridges.
