Soft Maple Reservoir and the Beaver River anchor this remote landscape in the southwestern portion of the Adirondack Park. The area is defined by a complex network of glacial water bodies, including Long Pond, Clear Pond, and Round Pond, linked by the winding West Branch Oswegatchie River in the north. The settlement of Soft Maple sits at the western edge of the reservoir, where local routes like Soft Maple Estates Rd provide access to the waterfront.
