The Little White River winds through this Todd County landscape, providing a central drainage for the canyons and creeks of the Spring Creek Segment. Near the settlement of Spring Creek, the terrain transitions into complex drainages such as Crazy Horse Canyon and Sawmill Canyon to the northeast. This 2017 survey reflects a rural infrastructure defined by Bureau of Indian Affairs routes, including Bia HWY 30 and Bia HWY 12, which connect isolated homesteads and community landmarks. Local history is anchored by several burial grounds situated near water sources and roads, notably Saint Angelo Cem and Saint Patrick Cem near the river, and Gurue Cem further south by the headwaters of Spring Cr. To the far south, the map reaches the upper reaches of Minnechaduza Cr, illustrating the interconnected hydraulic network of this part of the Great Plains.
