Siuslaw National Forest encompasses much of this terrain along the border of Tillamook and Yamhill counties. The landscape is defined by its complex drainage network, where the headwaters of the Nestucca River flow near Nenamusa Falls in the north, while the southern slopes feed Coast Cr and Tindle Cr. The area is historically accessed via a series of forest routes, including the Bible Creek Rd and Bald Mountain Rd, which snake through the high ridges.
