Standish and the surrounding rural communities of Cumberland and York counties are defined by a landscape of small hills and branching watercourses. The Saco River and its accompanying Saco River Reservoir form the western boundary of this territory, while the Little River and North Branch Little River snake through the central and eastern portions.
