Timnath serves as the focal point of this Northern Colorado landscape, situated along the Cache la Poudre River and defined by a complex network of irrigation and water management. The settlement patterns of Woods, Kluver, and Kerns are interspersed among an extensive system of man-made waterways, including the Larimer County Canal and the Larimer and Weld Canal. This intricate hydraulic infrastructure supports numerous storage basins such as Timnath Reservoir, Windsor Reservoir, and Black Hollow Reservoir.
