Caribou National Forest dominates this section of the Idaho highlands, where the border of Bonneville Co and Caribou Co cuts across a landscape defined by high peaks and deeply etched canyons. The terrain is anchored by prominent summits such as Old Baldy Peak, Black Mtn, Bald Mtn, and the namesake Tincup Mtn. A complex drainage system feeds these mountains, with numerous tributaries including Jackknife Cr, Trail Cr, and Squaw Cr carving routes through the wilderness.
