The Wenatchee National Forest dominates this section of the Entiat Mountains, where the high ridges of the Cascades define a complex drainage system in central Washington. Medicine Ridge stands as a prominent divide in the northeast, separating the headwaters of Medicine Creek from the surrounding high country. The terrain is deeply incised by a series of dramatic canyons, including Railroad Canyon, Moon Canyon, and Bjork Canyon, which all feed into the larger valley systems below.
