Aubrey Cliffs dominate the western portion of this Coconino County landscape, where the high desert plateau is sharply defined by dramatic elevation changes. The arid character of the region is evident in the network of livestock water sources, including Pinion Tank, Juniper Tank, and Township Corner Tank, which represent the essential infrastructure for ranching in this part of Arizona. To the east, the terrain is carved by Mohawk Canyon and its seasonal drainage, Mohawk Cr.
