The Continental Divide National Scenic Trail NST winds through high-elevation terrain along the border of Saguache County, marking the transition between the Gunnison National Forest and the Rio Grande National Forest. This 2013 survey illustrates a landscape dominated by drainage networks such as Razor Cr, Deadman Cr, and the three forks of Barret Cr. The area is characterized by several alpine parks, including Barret Park and Upper Razor Creek Park, which provide natural clearings amidst the timbered slopes of the Cochetopa Hills.
