Sierra National Forest and the southern edge of Yosemite National Park dominate this 2015 survey of the High Sierra along the Mariposa and Madera county line. The landscape is a complex network of high-altitude basins and peaks, including White Chief Mountain and Fresno Dome. Water moves through the terrain via Rainier Creek and Nelder Creek, feeding into a series of distinctive meadows such as Soquel Meadow, Boggy Meadow, and Kelty Meadow.
