Windham and its surrounding hamlets are defined by a network of high-elevation cemeteries and small watercourses in the Green Mountains. The landscape is dotted with several family and community burial grounds, including the remote Popple Dungeon Cem and the central Windham Center Cem. This 2012 survey shows the modern balance between recreation and preservation, featuring both the Tater Hill Golf Course near North Windham and the rural reaches of the Grafton State Frst to the east.
