Lima Reservoir dominates the southern landscape of this Beaverhead County region, where the Red Rock River flows into the expansive high-elevation basin of Centennial Valley. The terrain rises sharply to the north toward Merden Peak and the southern reaches of the Beaverhead National Forest. This 2017 survey reveals a complex network of drainages including First Wolverine Cr, Second Wolverine Cr, and Sandy Cr that carve through the upland slopes before reaching the valley floor.
