The Addison Millpond and the upper reaches of Bean Cr anchor this section of Lenawee County, where the transition between agricultural lands and the recreational waters of the Irish Hills region is clearly visible. The village of Addison and the resort community of Manitou Beach-Devils Lake represent the primary population centers, while the surrounding landscape is dotted with small, family-named burial grounds like the Sherman Farm Cem and Brownell-Binns Cem. One of the most specific historical markers is the Morehouse Grave, located near the settlement of Rollin.
